Barry is a Glaswegian who bitterly regrets the life-limiting consequences of his inept glory-hunting as a child in the early 80s. A Glenn Hoddle poster on his next-door neighbour's bedroom wall, coupled with back-to-back FA Cup wins, was all it took to consign him to a toxic but unbreakable relationship with Tottenham.
In 2012, he set up Glasgow Spurs, the first official supporters club north of the border.
He and his son, whom he selfishly indoctrinated, have been season-ticket holders since the temporary move to Wembley.
Barry, a former journalist now working in communications, would love to see Spurs win the league before he dies. But in the meantime will settle for not being put through the ordeal of another relegation fight.
